At adesso Belgium, we are looking for a Dataiku expert  to support our energy customer in Brussels.

Your role

As a Medior Data Engineer, you will:

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, scalable data pipelines (batch & streaming) to ingest, transform, and store data from various sources.

  • Ensure high standards for data quality, governance, and maintainability.

  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and domain experts to understand needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.

  • Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

  • Apply modern engineering best practices, including version control, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, testing, and monitoring.

  • Work with cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and big data technologies like Spark or Databricks.

Required Experience

  • Hard skills:

    • 3‑7 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.

    • Proficient in Python and SQL.

    • Solid hands-on experience with big data frameworks (e.g. Spark), ETL/ELT pipelines, and orchestration tools.

    • Good knowledge of cloud architecture, data lakes/warehouses, and scalable data infrastructure.

    • Familiarity with DevOps/DataOps practices (CI/CD, IAC, monitoring).

    Soft skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Effective communicator – technical and non-technical.

    • Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional teams.

    • Self-starter with a growth mindset and flexibility.

    Other requirements:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

    • Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.

    • Willingness to work 2 days per week onsite in Brussels (hybrid model).
